Qweens and Princesses: Matty Layne Glasgow with M. Molly Backes

Matty Layne Glasgow is a poet and teaching artist from Sugar Land, Texas. He is the author of the collection deciduous qween, selected by Richard Blanco as the winner of the 2017 Benjamin Saltman Award. He received his MFA in Creative Writing & Environment from Iowa State University in 2018 and teaches with Writers in the Schools in Houston. Matty is the recipient of a Vice Presidential Fellowship from the University of Utah where he is working on his PhD and serving as the Writers in the Schools Coordinator.
